Fun with Finance: Math + Readers Theatre = Success

Make the math kids are learning in grades 4-6 relevant to their financial future.

We've seen how fragile our world economy is. Yet we leave the financial training of our children to adults who themselves have likely received inadequate training. So how do we raise a generation of financial stewards? We do it by linking it to the math principles kids are learning. We do it by showing how kids can build future wealth. And we do it by having fun.

Humorous readers theatre scripts introduce kids to money, the global economy, savings and interest, employment, cedit, stocks, bonds, real estate, budgets, business entities, collecting for investment, and setting goals. Games, activities, narratives and glossaries in each of the 12 chapters make math fun while encouraging literacy.

Supplemental chapters introduce pie charts, bar charts, columnar graphs and line graphs along with ideas for a successful readers theatre experience.
